A father from Australia has been filmed demonstrating an unusual trick to get his three-month-old son to fall asleep
The internet is full of strange tricks designed to help parents get their babies to sleep, from a few drops of lavender oil to co-sleeping and dream feeds, but here’s one we’ve never seen before.
Nathan Dailo from Sydney uploaded the video above to YouTube which shows his own unorthodox method for getting his three-month-old son Seth to close his eyes and get some rest.
Dailo strokes Seth’s face repeatedly, and very gently, with a sheet of tissue paper. In a mere 42 seconds, the baby goes from a ball of energy to a sleeping cherub.
The video has been viewed over 100,000 times since being published last month, and has attracted a positive response on YouTube.
One online commenter said the trick had worked five times. Another wrote: “I’m gonna tell my neighbours right now with their damn crying baby during the middle of the night!”
