The reason why Israel is killing so many pregnant women in Gaza

Numerous pregnant mothers have been killed in Israel’s assault on Gaza. Is it because they are human shields for unborn ‘terrorists’?

AS THE Palestinian death toll in Gaza passed 600, the UN children’s agency Unicef reported that a third of them were children.

Not included in that figure were the numerous unborn children that Israel has killed in the last three weeks.

Three pregnant mothers were among the 25 members of the Abu Jamaa family who were killed on 20 July, when Israeli forces struck a house near Khan Younis, without warning. The dead included 18 children and five women. The family was eating iftar, the meal that breaks the Ramadan fast.

Just as this family was being slaughtered, by an indisputable Israeli war crime, the US secretary of state John Kerry gave an interview in which he said, Israel’s attack on Gaza was an “appropriate and legitimate effort” to defend itself.

A little earlier in the day, Kerry’s boss, President Obama, repeated his “strong support for Israel’s right to defend itself”.

Obama gave this latest green light to Israel, “after speaking with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu earlier in the day”. Predictably, Netanyahu was soon all over the media crowing about US support for Israel’s indiscriminate bombardment of the most densely populated place on Earth, and announcing that Israel planned to intensify the carnage in Gaza over the coming days.

Britain’s prime minister David Cameron also spoke to Netanyahu a day earlier, to whom he repeated “our recognition of Israel’s right to take proportionate action to defend itself”, as he reported to Parliament on 21 July.

Cameron didn’t say whether it was ‘proportionate’ to kill 200 children, or four boys playing football on a beach, or 25 family members as they sat down for a meal. Was it ‘proportionate to litter the streets of the Shujai’iya dictrict in Gaza City with dozens of bodies of mainly women and children, after it had been effectively carpet-bombed? Was it ‘proportionate’ to bomb hospitals and a home for the disabled?

Cameron said he had asked Netanyahu “to do everything to avoid civilian casualties, to exercise restraint”.

This clearly did not include restraining from sending the world’s fourth most powerful military force to invade a tiny area, just 25 miles long and just a few miles wide, into which are crammed 1.8 million people, who have been held captive in a brutal siege for seven years, that has deprived the inhabitants of food, power, access to clean water, medical supplies and other essential resources.

Israel’s justification for killing so many civilians is the claim that Hamas is using civilians as human shields for its rockets and fighters.

The human shields’ argument is a complete myth, which is why Israel has produced hardly any evidence to support it. This was the reason Israel gave for the missile attack on a home for the disabled in Beit Lahiya, killing two disabled residents and injuring four others. Jamilla Alaiwa, a 59 year old social worker who founded the home, said,. “If the Israelis have proof of this let them make it public. There was no one from Islamic Jihad or Hamas living there. We are not involved in politics.”

No Palestinian civilian has been found to corroborate Israel’s claim they are being forced by Hamas to become unwilling human shields. Why then, says Israel, do people stay in their homes when we drop leaflets telling them to evacuate because we are about to bomb? Abdullah al-Daweish, a relative of the family of five killed in Khan Younis, explains:

“Where do we go to? Some people moved from the outer edge of Khan Younis to Khan Younis centre after Israelis told them to, then the centre got bombed. People have moved from this area to Gaza City, and Gaza City has been bombed. It’s not Hamas who is ordering us in this, it’s the Israelis.”

85,000 have fled to shelters set up by the United Nations, but these have no more room for evacuees. And with the borders of Gaza sealed by the Israeli and Egyptian siege, no wonder the desperate response from its people — as Israel bombards the whole area by land, sea and air — is, where else is there for us to go?

Netanyahu says another reason for so many civilians being killed by Israel, is because Hamas wants to “pile up as many civilian dead as they can to make Israel look bad. They use telegenically dead Palestinians for their cause. They want the more dead, the better.”

Netanyahu was allowed to make this despicable accusation without challenge on the mainstream media news broadcasts. But “the more dead the better” is certainly the view of not a few Israelis, including the member of the Israeli parliament, Ayelet Shaked, who said recently,

“Behind every terrorist stand dozens of men and women, without whom he could not engage in terrorism. They are all enemy combatants, and their blood shall be on all their heads. Now this also includes the mothers of the martyrs, who send them to hell with flowers and kisses. They should follow their sons, nothing would be more just. They should go, as should the physical homes in which they raised the snakes. Otherwise, more little snakes will be raised there.”

Put a little less graphically, Israeli army reserve major general Oren Shachor, explained: “If we kill their families, that will frighten them.”

So, is the reason so many pregnant women are being killed in Gaza because Israel believes they are acting as human shields for unborn ‘terrorists’?

Hamas is to blame for the loss of life in Gaza. Hamas started firing rockets into Israel and continue to do so. When Hamas ends their terrorism against Israel then the peolpe in Gazs will stop dying.

I believe better is if Jewish settlers will leave Palestine and the west respect an independent Palestine, then there will be peace. Anyway that is only to piss you off. I am more for a United Kingdom of Palestine and Israel.

And here I thought you understood Islam. Under Islam myth and culture, Muslims MUST be rulers over the infidels because THEY believe Allah made them smarter or better looking or something like that. All of the Muslims in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza would represent only about 40% of a united Palestine/Israel. In a Democracy, that means that the Jews would STILL rule over the Muslims. To any sheikh, that would be unacceptable. There can be no peace until Muslims rule … THE WORLD.

        • stjohnofthevatican

Thank you that you agreed that as according to your statement “Muslims MUST be rulers over the infidels because THEY believe Allah made them smarter or better looking or something like that.” is from your own words “Islam myth”

            Sorry — computer crashed.

You are not only a Muslim but a bit of a socialist too — as noted by the “share the wealth” bit.

I do not believe that Israel/Palestine is viable because of the very nature of Muslims versus infidels. Christianity (for one) is a predominantly INTERNAL religion and belief system. Islam, on the other hand, is a primarily EXTERNAL religion. In other words, a Christian gains their God’s good will by being nice to people and avoiding bad feelings like hate and anger. The Muslim, to the contrary has to perform public acts of piety like growing a Sunnah beard or wearing the hijab and being in the front row at the masjid. There is no “hafez” in the West — such a thing simply isn’t important to us — indeed, we find it not only a waste of time but also sort of creepy.

So, what does that have to do with our discussion? It demonstrates the core difference between Muslims and Infidels and why they cannot share a country. To Muslims, the most important public activity is practicing their religion.
And to the Christian or Jew,whom I am most familiar, their primary business is BUSINESS.

The infidels will busy themselves producing wealth while the Muslims will busy themselves memorizing the Koran or sending the police after women not wearing hijabs or measuring the lengths of men’s beards (all popular activities in Saudi Arabia where I used to work). So, in a shared society, there will be an ever increasing wealth gap between the prosperous Infidels and the much less so Muslims. This will generate conflict as the poorer Muslims start demanding rents and subsidies from the productive non-Muslims. The conflict will continue. The non-religious Infidel will ALWAYS out-produce (economically) the Muslims. It has been that way in every country where Christians/Jews/Hindus/Zoroastrians and Muslims co-habitated.

So, unless the Muslims RULE, they will become 2nd Class citizens as they are fast becoming in Western Europe where they are impoverished, unskilled, given to high crime rates, and totally dependent on the state (infidels) for welfare handouts. What will happen when those subsidies and handouts end? There are blood riots — as we are already seeing. The Muslim and the Infidel cannot live together on an equal footing.

          • stjohnofthevatican

A Socialist Muslim? Well i dont really mind whatever you call it or how you look at me. But that’s new, i guess i like that.

Anyway I am confident to what and who I am. One thingabout me is that I am a proud Muslim, was on an elected position, elected by Christians, I dindt seek reelection as I have to focus on my private job to support my growing family. Will write response to you later. Need to go now. Peace. Shalom, Salaam.

you two, stjohnofthevatican & Patrick Klocek have presented the most civilised argument/disagreement I’ve witnessed on the internet.. Kudos! Long live peace and harmony!

          • Mohamed

Man, really If this is what you think about Islam. Seriously, go and study Islam, Please.

PS. Not everything you see a Muslim doing belongs to Islam.
PS.II This is a subject about the war crime in Gaza, Not about Islam, Christianity, and Judaism. If this was the place to discuss this, Neither you nor I are even qualified to discuss religions.

          • Patrick Joseph Klocek

Firstly, if you are qualified to practice a religions — you are qualified, indeed obligated, to discuss it.

Next, it is my experience that whenever I say something unflattering about Islam; I am accused of ignorance of the religion. And whenever this infidel says something pleasant about how fabulous Islam; I am complimented on my knowledge of Islam. I see a pattern there, do you?

Now, the reason I injected Islam in the first place is because Islam under-pins everything that HAMAS does and is why HAMAS is committing war crimes in Gaza as we speak. Islam’s dim view of Mishrikun, like myself, forces Muslims (who follow Islam not as a religion but as a total social organizing system) to confront Israel at every opportunity and to fight for the sake of Allah. But the very simply point, I believe, is that Muslims cannot tolerate a more successful, Mishrik state living next door to them. Allah appointed Muslims to be the rulers over the infidels because of Muslims’ superior morals. But these Yahoodiun out-produce, out-administer, and even have a more pleasant and civil society than any land in Dar al-Islam. That’s shouldn’t be!!!

I believe this cognitive dissonance arises because the Koran disparages infidels and talks up Muslims’ skills, ability, and their closeness to God. But when any Muslim looks at almost any Western country or the Jewish State — he sees Muslims doing far, far worse. Lebanon with all its Christians is nicer than Iraq, Syria, or Jordan. Israel is wealthier – per capita – than Saudis or Emiratis. The only semi-prosperous Islamic lands are the ones with large numbers of infidels like Lebanon, Malaysia and Indonesia (both with Chinese), or Dubai which has more Hindus and Catholic Filipinos than Arabs. This is deeply confusing to Muslims who were commanded to rule the world can’t even provide clean water in their communities while infidels are visiting other planets.

So, with this in mind, HAMAS has decided that the real reason that Muslims in Gaza are poor and lacking clean water is because Jews MUST be stealing it. They are not. But Jewish prosperity and extreme Gazan poverty leads the locals to suspect Jewish theft because Muslims are supposedly preferred by God. It is the only explanation that makes sense?!?! To that end, HAMAS will hide behind civilians, firing rockets, until the Jews pay them their rent or their jizyah so they can live at the same standard-of-living as the Jews with only a fraction of the hard work as these accursed Mishrikun BECAUSE GOD WANTS THAT.

          • Peter

That only means one truth: That Muslims were led to believe a LIE. How do you command a group of people to rule when their belief, understanding of things, way of life is so inferior & primitive compare to the “ones” they were commanded to rule over? It’s like their god said,”here’s a knife & an ax, go and rule over the infidels who have canons & tanks, & u don’t need education & self-improvement, just follow what is written in the book of Koran & everything will fall into place.” The way of these Muslims aren’t even noble or courageous in fighting. If their god is so all mighty & will destroy the infidels then how come a tiny Israel grossly outnumbered & surrounded beat them all at once before and then again and again? The God of Israel promised them “THINGS” and you know what? They all came true! That’s why Israel, however tiny and few they are, are well developed, prosperous & civilized, while in contrast, the other side is primitive, backward & brings nothing but trouble to any civilization they come across with. Does the god of the muslims intended for them to be that way? or is it that the muslims were just deceived? Whatever it is, I’m glad I am not one of them and will not ever be.

          • Patrick Joseph Klocek

I sort of doubt that there is a god and certainly if there if; He does not go around telling people what to eat or giving fashion tips backed up with threats of hell fire. If you think that the supreme creator of the universe REALLY wants you to wear a beard instead of going clean shaven … you are a silly person.

          • Pavlis

Well thats where your argument became poor. There is certainly a God, to suppose otherwise is the height of arrogance. I do not require belief there is a God, I can reason there to be one. Intellect will not lead to knowing God.

          • Pavls

Patrick is completely correct, you just want to avoid what he is sayong because it is true.

          • Pavlis

Great comment and its all true, there is no need to know the Qu’ran, Muslims show it in their collective actions. The truth hurts unfortunately.

        • khan

          fuck off you mother fucker

This article seems too amateurish. Probably written by a kid. Too much emotion and hyperbole, very few convincing rational arguments.

    • Patrick Klocek

What do you expect from World Observer Online. It’s basically a news/troll site. But I bet HAMAS gets their news from there.

      • stjohnofthevatican

I presumed you have read it as well LOL, we both have read this “troll”.

  • mookergee

What your one sided publication failed to write that Your Hamas Fighters were using little Gaza babies as human shields and tying them on their front car bumpers

That’s the most rediculous thing I’ve ever heard. lol. Funny to imagine, but rediculous to believe.

  • KMR2014

Whoever wrote this article is a coward who won’t even claim responsibility for such drivel by putting his/her name on it. With the power of today’s social media platform, people can see for themselves what is really going on, no matter how skewed or biased the media may be. Reporters today are the biggest liars compared to real reporters many years ago. Shame on you!

  • Samuel

Just from the incorrect facts in the article you can see that the author is an ignoramus.
Anyone who calls Gaza “The most densely populated place on earth” is just plain wrong… by a factor of 10.
Gaza pop density: is 9735/sq mile.
The 50th most dense city in the world, Athens, has 40 000/sq mile.
Stupid. But then again you’d expect that from someone who fails to mention that Hamas killed over 160 of their own kids digging tunnels and that Hamas’ leadership are dollar billionaires.

  • Chanah Robinsky

what a load of crap, in some paper you can read that fakestian women have been given birht to GOD knows many

  • Yohan Yishai

Those people inhabiting the territories of ancient Israel that Israel seeks to take back should declare themselves being Israelis or leave to their homeland for peace.
The world cannot bear the gory scene from wars and fights any longer. Let there be conciliation and peace between peoples of all races created in God’s image. Shalom.

  • Yohan Yishai

Those people inhabiting the territories of ancient Israel that Israel seeks to take back as their home should declare themselves being the SAME ISRAELIS or leave to the homeland of their ancestors for peace.
The world cannot bear the gory scene from wars and fights any longer, especially when those suffering are women and children on any side. Let there be conciliation and peace between peoples of all races created in God’s image. Let there be UNITY under God’s appointed King on Zion. Shalom.
