This collection of photographs might look like they’ve been photoshopped but they haven’t. These are all the work of Russian photographer, Andrey Pavlov. He uses a macro lens and his behavioral knowledge of ants, then he sets up props and scenes along their path to capture these whimsical images.
Pavolv doesn’t have to travel far to find his models, luckily there happens to be an anthill right near his house in Moscow, Russia.

Pavlov said,”When I had children and I started reading fairy tales to them, I realized it was something I never did as a child. That’s why I decided to make up for it and make some fairy tales of my own.”
He chose ants because he respects their way of life, they care about their children and look after the elderly.
“Grabbing the attention of an ant is easy enough, you just have to show him a fake prey or an enemy. And if you managed to persuade one to perform the trick, others will do the same…”
