Jose Mourinho shows he’s not all mind games and tantrums by penning heartfelt message to son in Chelsea programme
Jose Mourinho has showed that he is not all mind games and tantrums by penning a heartfelt message to his son Jose Junior in Sunday’s Chelsea match programme.
The Special One lead his side into the final two games of the season knowing, if not admitting publicly, that his side still have an outside chance of winning the Premier League title and victory over Norwich this afternoon will keep up the pressure on Manchester City and Liverpool.
The Chelsea boss would normally have used his column to discuss Wednesday’s Champions League defeat to Atletico and those of a more cynical mind set might suggest that this message deflects attention away from Chelsea’s midweek performance.

Mourinho said in his notes: ‘I know this space is to communicate with you fans, but one of you is my son.
‘I want to tell him thanks for being with me every second of every match, a few metres behind me, jumping for every goal; hurt by every difficult moment. Thank you, kid, for being my kid.
‘Every time I look at you, I see you, but I also see your sister and your mum, both at home but also playing with us, both waiting for us to go home and to be what we are – an amazing family… like the blue family, supporting each other.’
Jose Mario, who is a goalkeeper, decided not to follow his father to Chelsea and instead signed for Fulham under-14’s in September.
