Arsenal fans could be forgiven for forgetting what Abou Diaby looks like, seeing as the midfielder has spent over a year out of action with a serious knee injury.
The cruciate ligament injury was a serious blow in a long line of setbacks for the France international, who has long been tipped for big things but seemingly spent longer on the sidelines than on the pitch during his eight-year Gunners career.
But Diaby looks to be proving a point about his improving fitness with a stunning Paris photoshoot, which shows off his strength, running power and agility in a series of brilliant photographs.

The 27-year-old from Paris has not appeared for Arsenal’s first team since he suffered the knee injury against Swansea last March.
But the pictures will encourage boss Arsene Wenger and the Emirates Stadium faithful, as Diaby is seen taking off on a powerful sprint, displaying remarkable flexibility and core strength in the gym and, perhaps most importantly, with a smile on his face.
