Actor Jaden Smith may be poised to bounce back from his AfterEarth flop with a return to one of his most successful roles.
The son of Will Smith is gearing up for a sequel to his blockbuster The Karate Kid, and will be joined by his co-star in that film, action icon Jackie Chan.
According to The Guardian, director Breck Eisner (Sahara) has signed onto the project which will follow the adventures of Dre Parker.
The 2010 original, itself a remake of a 1984 smash, earned $343 million worldwide.
